Associate

Tazma is an Associate at FOSTERS, having joined our legal team in September 2025.

Tazma obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in Barbados in 2023, graduating with First Class Honours as one of the top six students in her cohort. During her studies, she was awarded the Telford Georges Memorial Scholarship for achieving the highest GPA in first year courses among students from the Eastern Caribbean. She also maintained consistent academic excellence earning a place on the Dean’s list throughout her studies.

Following the completion of her LLB, Tazma completed her Legal Education Certificate (LEC) at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago in 2025, ranking among the top 12 academic performers in her cohort. Tazma was awarded the Pelham Sloane-Seale Memorial Prize for Best Performing Student in Conveyancing and the Registration of Title System in her second year. Through the Law School’s Legal Aid Clinic, she gained hands-on experience in areas such as non-contentious probate matters, divorce, legal drafting and research.

Tazma has a passion for employment law and holds a Certificate in Industrial Relations from the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies in Trinidad and Tobago. Tazma is passionate about the law and is excited to contribute meaningfully.

Tazma developed strong interests in Employment Law, Regional Integration Law, International Law, Administrative Law and Human Rights Law.  She has a passion for Employment and Labour Law which led her to pursue an Industrial Relations Certificate at the Cipriani College of Labour and Cooperative Studies while completing her LLB.

With a strong academic foundation, Tazma is committed to delivering high-quality legal representation rooted in fairness, respect, integrity, professionalism and social responsibility.

Beyond her academics and professional pursuits, Tazma is passionately committed to gender equality, youth development and community empowerment. She has served as the Vice President of Empowering Our Women, a local NGO dedicated to advocacy on gender-based violence, menstrual equity, and gender responsive social interventions for women and girls.

Outside of work, Tazma enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring.
