Shari-Ann Walker is an Senior Associate having joined FOSTERS in April 2022. Shari-Ann obtained her LL.B degree at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus and then she attended the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica where she obtained her Legal Education Certificate (LEC) in 2016.
Shari-Ann has enjoyed a varied practice to date, primarily in Barbados, where she was first called to the Bar in 2016. Shari-Ann is an experienced litigator, having regularly appeared at all Court levels in Barbados and otherwise practices in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation, employment law, civil litigation, intellectual property, debt collection and family law. She was instructing counsel on a recent landmark Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) decision.
Shari-Ann also has a particular interest in data protection and privacy law and to this extent she has provided commentary on the Barbados Data Protection Act, 2019 and has sat on several panels and advised businesses on best privacy policy practices and related privacy legislation. Shari-Ann is also currently furthering her education in data privacy management in order to better advise businesses on best privacy and data protection practices.
Shari-Ann is a fitness enthusiast and is a multi-instrumentalist, having played for several years with the Barbados National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
